This is an Empowering Women’s Art Experience inspired by Trailblazer American Artist Georgia O’Keeffe. O'Keeffe is an icon of American painters who lived a bold unconventional life on her own terms. Her floral paintings are both intimate and provocative. We will create emotive and expressive paintings. Georgia O'Keeffe's work is all about color, emotion, energy and place. Her paintings focus on the art of observation and seeing beauty in the world around us. She painted flowers as intimate landscapes. Her paintings focus on color and layers, full of joy and emotion.
We will use the fun and colorful medium of Alcohol Inks to create bold blooms. The technique is loose and meditative, perfect for capturing organic, ephemeral florals.
Alcohol inks is a modern, innovative art technique. We learn different application methods and learn about color mixing and layering. Working with this playful medium, all of us can relax, unwind, and focus on our mental health. This experience is perfect for letting go of expectations, reducing stress and getting in the flow. We express ourselves through color and form, celebrating original women.
We are inspired and pave our own original frontiers. Every painting will be created with O'Keeffe's essence but with our own personality.
